TOM Kerridge's restaurant The Coach has been shaking things up with a delicious breakfast menu.

Head Chef Sarah Hayward was crowned ‘Young Chef’ at the Michelin Awards and has been cooking up a storm at the West Street eatery.

Breakfast is served on Saturday and Sunday mornings every week from 8.30am to 10.30am, which is a short timeframe but worth rushing out the door for.

The most popular item on the menu was The Coach Breakfast Muffin with caramelised onion ‘sausage’, hash brown, fried egg, smoked cheese and gherkin ketchup priced at £14.

It's a filling dish with each layer giving different textures and flavours. The zesty sweet gherkin ketchup was my favourite part of the meal. They should really sell this sauce in bottles.

The atmosphere was buzzing inside for a Sunday morning, with friendly staff greeting you from the get-go wasting no time to take your drink order.

It felt extra special being able to watch Sarah prepare our meals right under our noses in the exposed kitchen.

All in all, the meal tasted moreish and for the price, it's worth visiting for a special occasion.
