Tributes have been paid to the former head of the Metropolitan Police's undercover unit who passed away.
Rajiv Mahajan, from Speen, near Princes Risborough, died in the summer.
Paying tribute to Rajiv on LinkedIn, senior investigator Graeme Simpson said: "It is with great sadness than I report the passing of Commander Rajiv Mahajan.
"Raj was formerly the head of the Metropolitan Police undercover unit & also served on the anti corruption unit, Operation Grafton, Kidnap unit, SIS and money laundering team.
"He was a serving City of London officer, who was on a three-year secondment to the Home Office.
"A brilliant detective and friend, who didn't suffer fools. He was without doubt the best and most dedicated leader and Detective I ever met."
A funeral took place on July 21 at Chiltern Crematorium in Amersham.
A wake will was held afterwards at the Pink and Lily pub in Lacey Green.
Donations in his memory were made to his favourite charity, Immingham Boarding Kennels & Rescue.
