A man from Buckinghamshire said he has achieved the 'impossible' - booking a three-day holiday abroad for less than £100.

Callum Ryan, 22, a social media content creator from Milton Keynes, managed to spend less than £100 on travel during a three-day holiday to Spain last month.

The 22-year-old took a Ryanair flight from London Stansted to Seve Ballesteros-Santander Airport in Spain on September 27 which set him back only £54, including for the return journey.

A bus from the airport to Santander city centre cost him £1.87 and a three-day hostel stay came out at £30. He also paid £13.50 for parking at Stansted, comprising a grand total of £99.37 - just under his £100 budget for the trip.

Although the total didn't include spending money of around £150, Callum said he had thought his aim to get to Spain and back for under £100 would be 'impossible' before giving it a go.

He said: "I was surprised that we found somewhere so cheap. We decided to book the trip the day before, and to get a full holiday for less than £100 at the last minute - I thought it would be impossible.

"It was a fun and enjoyable trip. The best thing for me was meeting the locals. It was out of season and we mainly chilled with them - we have made friends for life."

It's not the first time Callum has attempted to travel on a tight budget - in March, he flew to Spain to have a pint for just £10, £5 less than a box of Estrella from Morrisons.

He also flew to Dubai earlier this year for £64, less than the cost of filling a car up with fuel.
