Data released by the Home Office has disclosed how many arrests have been made for each football team across the Football League.

The figures, which also focus on clubs in the National League, National League South and National League North, have been broken down into 12 sections of criminal activity which range from racist/indecent chanting to ticket touting.

In all, the statistics show that 27 Wycombe Wanderers fans have been arrested since the start of the 2014/15 campaign.

The largest number of apprehensions in one season involving spectators of the club was 12 during the 2021/22 year.

Four arrests came at Adams Park with two being for violet disorder, one for public disorder and one for invading the pitch.

The latter came in Wanderers’ 2-0 victory over Oxford United in January 2022 which resulted in the spectator receiving a lifetime ban from the stadium.

That same season saw eight Wycombe fans get arrested away from home, which includes four for public disorder.

Two were for violent disorder, one was for throwing a missile, and one was for alcohol offences/driving under the influence of drink or drugs.

The 12 arrests in one season are considered high, as there were 13 police detentions between 2014/15 and 2020/21 involving spectators related to the club.

The sudden rise that season was partly down to the return of fans at stadiums following the end of the Covid-19 restrictions.

Nearly all the competitive fixtures across the 2020/21 season were played behind closed doors.

However, as supporters returned, anti-social behaviour increased.
