The driver was detained and found to be over 3.5 times the alcohol limit. Checks also found that the car they were driving was uninsured.
The motorist has since been charged to court and is facing a "lengthy driving ban". Their car has also been seized.
A spokesperson for the force issued a reminder on its digital channels that drinking and driving, and driving without insurance was “not worth the risk”.
