A country road in Buckinghamshire had to close after a ‘huge’ fly-tip was discovered.

The unsightly pile was found on a lane off the Grendon Road and Main Street junction between Kingswood and Grendon Underwood on Monday, October 23.

The huge fly-tip contained everyday items such as shoes, drink and food packaging and a baby pram alongside building materials and a gas canister.

Buckinghamshire Council said on X (former Twitter): "Offenders should expect most robust enforcement response available [.] Road closed for removal to protect road users and vehicles."

The "criminal" fly-tipping was now “under investigation based on evidence found at the scene,” the Council warned.

The fly-tip was discovered near an entry onto a public footpath.
