A grieving brother is dedicating his spectacular spooky display to his late sister who loved celebrating Halloween.

Matthew Ringland of Hillview, Great Kimble, Buckinghamshire, was inspired to put up the decorations after his sister Sarah McCabe died from the effects of early-onset Dementia in 2020.

She was only 53 when she died and has been described as a "much-loved daughter, mother, friend" and missed by all.

Sarah loved Halloween and Christmas so the display is a fitting tribute in memory of his "beautiful sister."

Bucks Free Press: The extravagant display hopes to raise money for Dementia UK, a charity that provides Admiral Nurses for families affected by dementia.

Families are welcome to visit the display at Yeates Cottage and take photos, whilst making a small donation to help the cause.

Matthew said: "I am really pleased with how it’s looking. I have just added a creepy face to my upstairs windows.

"Sarah was, is and always will be my big sister. In the depths of the pandemic in 2020 Sarah died from the effects of early on-set dementia which over the course of nearly ten years slowly robbed her of her dignity and life.

"Sarah is a much loved daughter, mother, friend and sister and is missed terribly by us all.

"During her life she brought so much love, life, laughter and silliness to the people who knew and adored her. She loved Halloween and Christmas as I do.

"It seems fitting then that I make my seasonal lights work for their wattage and dedicate them to the memory of Sarah.

"May they bring you as much joy and shine brightly in these darkest of days as Sarah did throughout her short life.

"Dementia is such a horrible, cruel disease that destroys families not just the person suffering."

The Halloween decorations will be taken down on Wednesday, November 1, with preparations for Christmas decorations a couple of weeks after.
