A TV star was spotted working behind the bar in a Buckinghamshire pub.

Taskmaster host and award-winning comedian Alex Horne was seen pouring pints at The Queen’s Head pub in Chesham on Saturday, November 4, to the surprise and delight of punters.

Alex was joined by comedian and friend Tim Key, and the duo were pictured posing at the camera inside Alex's hometown pub, which was refurbished in September.

The pub’s director and tenant Paul Marsh said: “They were both in because Chesham United were in the FA game on Saturday.

“We had a really busy day and the guys came in afterwards and enjoyed the night with us.”

When Alex came to order his drinks, the staff challenged him to pour his own drink and if successful, it would be free of charge.

“He was a good sport. He was really happy with what we have done with the pub and said he’ll be back,” Paul said.

However, the pub said on social media

The pub was buzzing with customers who had been to the game.

"We were really busy. It was a record day in terms of sales and a record week. We've gone from strength to strength," Paul added.

On Remembrance Sunday, the pub will donate 10p for every drink to the poppy appeal.
