A new High Wycombe Gift Card has been launched in a bid to boost businesses across the town.

HWBIDCo and Eden Shopping Centre have worked together on the new ‘ShopWycombe’ Gift Card, which can be spent in coffee shops, beauty venues, independent retailers and high street chains.

The new ‘Shop Wycombe’ gift card hopes to bring a new era of shopping to the town centre and helps retain local spend with more than 100 retailers on the list.

It will work through the Mastercard system with no special equipment required by businesses to accept the card, and at no additional cost.

HWBIDCo will be supporting each of its BID Members businesses through the set-up process.

Once launched, the Shop Wycombe Gift Card will be available to buy online and in person from the Eden Shopping Centre.

Chief Executive for HWBIDCo Melanie Williams said the gift card will build on the shop local ethos in the town.

She said: "Working with all business in the town centre, the new ‘Shop Wycombe’ gift card is a way for us to bring together all types and sizes of businesses to be a part of an exciting initiative for High Wycombe that will have a tangible impact on the local economy.

"I encourage all businesses to take the unique opportunity of accepting the High Wycombe Gift Card so we can redirect spend back to High Wycombe during the vital Christmas trading period and beyond.”

Rebecca Gomme, Marketing Manager at Eden Shopping Centre commented: “We’re pleased to have been part of the ‘Shop Wycombe’ Gift card development and are really excited for its launch this Christmas.

"We recognise how beneficial it will be to our retailers, and for the town, keeping spend local is vital.”
