A retirement home in Buckinghamshire has received a gold award at a ceremony dubbed the ‘Oscars’ of the UK house-building industry.
Peel Lodge on Dean Street in Marlow, a facility operated by the Churchill Retirement Living group, was among the branches of the company honoured in its receipt of a gold award at the WhatHouse? awards ceremony hosted in London by comedian Ed Gamble on Friday, November 17.
The group was awarded the title of ‘Best Retirement Home Developer’, a categorisation that assesses factors including commitment and contribution to the enhancement of retirement living.

Spencer J. McCarthy, Chairman and CEO of Churchill, said: “I’m incredibly proud to achieve this accolade, which reflects the strength of our business, the quality of our product and the positive change we strive for on behalf of our sector.
“It’s also a credit to our fantastic team of people around the country. I’d like to thank my entire team for the hard work that goes on throughout the year to help achieve this success.”
