The funeral of the much-loved Wycombe Wanderers supporter Dave Finch will take place on November 28. 

The 73-year-old, who spent more than six decades following his beloved Chairboys, passed away unexpectedly on October 14.

He will be remembered at the Amersham Crematorium, with those attending the service being asked to donate to the British Heart Foundation, instead of bringing flowers.

In an obituary that was shared on the Bucks Free Press website on November 24, it read: “Much loved husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother and friend.

"Taken from us suddenly on October 14, 2023.

“Will be missed so very much.

“Funeral in Milton Chapel, Chiltern Crematorium on 28 November at 1.00pm, family flowers only.

“Charitable donations to the British Heart Foundation Dave's Just Giving page.”

The lifelong Chairboy started to support the club in the 1960s before writing the matchday programme for several years.

He was also a member of the Official Wycombe Wanderers Supporters Association committee and wrote the club's official history book in the 1990s.
