Upcoming industrial action is set to affect train journeys in Buckinghamshire, including zero train service on Sunday.

Chiltern Railways warned passengers of changes to trains due to industrial action by the ASLEF union.

The strike action and overtime ban was called to “ratchet up” the pressure on the train companies and government over drivers’ salaries, which have not increased for four and a half years, the union said.

Chiltern Railways told customers to check before travelling during the industrial action.

Chiltern Railways will operate a limited timetable during the overtime ban on Friday, December 1, Saturday, December 2, and between Monday, 4 December and Saturday, December 9.

Trains could be busier than usual during industrial action, particularly on Thursday, December 7 when CrossCountry and Great Western Railway (GW) are not operating any services.

No Chiltern Railways services will operate on Sunday, December 3 due to the strike.

There will be no Chiltern Railways stopping at Wembley Stadium station on Friday, December 1. Customers attending the England v Netherlands game should use TfL and London Underground services on the day.

Strike action is also affecting other train companies, so passengers are advised to check with individual companies.
