The All Saints Church in High Wycombe recently hosted a Christmas Candlelight Concert which was met with rave reviews by those in attendance.

The historic building in the centre of the town was illuminated with more than 2,000 faux candles along the altar as three classic music experts, who had all recently graduated from university, took to their stage and performed an array of festive songs.

Tunes from popular Christmas movies such as ‘The Holiday’, ‘Love Actually’ and ‘The Snowman’ were all played in front of a crowd of roughly 100 people inside the venue, whilst more contemporary tunes by the likes of Mariah Carey, Wham, the Jackson 5 and Alexandra Burke were all played.

The threesome, who played the violin, viola, and cello, worked in sync to perform the classics which also included tracks such as ‘Jingle Bells,’ We Wish You a Merry Christmas’ and ‘Meldoy of the Carols’ were also heard.

Broken up with anecdotes from the three musicians who all told their own stories about how they got into music, along with why they opted to choose their playlist, it was an incredibly enjoyable experience.

What also made things work was that the event only lasted one hour and by 8pm, everyone had left the church to continue with their evening.

And although the High Wycombe event has since passed, they are continuing to tour the country with their fine array of talents.
