Here are three people from Buckinghamshire who have found fame in 2023.

Paul Liba – Chesham

Paul, 26, from Chesham, decided to look for love by applying for the Channel 4 reality TV show, ‘Married at First Sight’ and was partnered up with Leeds-born Tasha Jay.

The account manager from South Bucks had his relationship documented during the seventh series of the programme, which saw the two reach the final despite some turbulent times.

Most notably in episode 29, the cameras follow the couples as they visit their families to see how they cope with each other in the real world.

Paul and Tasha travelled to Chesham to visit the former’s family after a homestay in Leeds.

The newlyweds were greeted by Paul’s mum and pet dog as they arrived at his home before he confessed to the camera he was ‘nervous’, as it was the ‘first time I’ve brought a girl back to my space to meet my parents.’

And despite the current series ending in November, it has been revealed that the two are still in a relationship.

Will the Farmer – Aylesbury

Will Young (no, not the singer), is best known for his popular TikTok videos that have gained millions of views online under the alias ‘Will the Farmer’.

The 23-year-old would shoot clips of him working at his family’s farm in Aylesbury, which turned him into an internet celebrity.

So, with his fame to his name, the farmer applied for the winter reality TV show, ‘Love Island’, and was an instant hit with fans and viewers.

During his stint on the programme, he would openly talk about his time working with the farmyard animals which wooed fellow contestant Jessie Wynter, 26.

The two now live in Aylesbury with Will returning to his farmyard lifestyle, which Jessie, originally from Tasmania in Australia, has adopted.

Hayley Chart – Chalfont St Giles

Sticking with TV, this year saw Chalfont St Giles woman Hayley Chart enjoy success on the talent show, ‘The Voice’.

The 52-year-old took her unique, husky voice and charisma that had the celebrity judges Will. I. Am, Tom Jones, Anne-Marie and Olly Murs singing along by the end of her performance on November 25.

Hayley, who described herself as “not your average singer but more of an entertainer” is now in for a chance to win a record contract and £50,000 in cash as part of the latest season seven of ITV’s hit reality show.

During the fourth round of blind auditions, she sang Nina Simone’s ‘Sinnerman, a powerful tune mixing blues, gospel and jazz, which left judge Tom Jones stunned with his “jaw dropped,” she said.

She told the Free Press: “I’m Marmite, you either hate me or love me.

“I’m loud, but I’m not pretending to be anyone else.

“I’ve got some bad comments on the internet saying stuff about my voice or I’m common, but why should I sing a certain way or change.”
