High Wycombe high street was closed off to the public this morning due to a police incident last night.
An incident is understood to have happened in the late hours of Saturday evening.
There was disruption for travellers this morning as bus routes were diverted while the scene remained cordoned off.
A spokesman for bus company Carousel tweeted: “Due to a police incident we are unable to serve High Wycombe High Street until further notice.
“To all customer wishing to board we recommend either making your way to the bus station or Oxford Street stop. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience.”
As of 9.30am the road was reopened.
Further details about the incident are not known at this time.
Thames Valley Police has been contacted for comment.
