An Indian restaurant on high street has received a new ‘very good’ hygiene rating after it was told to improve.

Sajna restaurant on Station Road, Beaconsfield, celebrated receiving a new food hygiene score following an inspection on December 13.

Sajna was given a five-out-five rating by the inspector, meaning hygiene standards are ‘very good.’

The owner Alauddin Choudhury said: “We're ecstatic about our new five star rating, and hope our customers can come share our experience with us!”

The new rating comes after a disappointing inspection in September when Sajna's hygiene standards were rated one-out-of-five, which means major improvement was necessary.

The Food Standards Agency inspects all restaurants, cafes, takeaways, pubs, bars and canteens and gives them a score from zero to five.

Alauddin continued: “We're a great local Indian restaurant in the heart of New Town Beaconsfield, come along and dine in or we also deliver in our local areas, and you can find us on Deliveroo.”
