RUNNERS were raring to pound the streets at the annual Prestwood fun run.
Almost 200 competitors pushed themselves on Sunday morning for the 10k run around the village, which started in Honor End Lane.
Liz Rankine, organiser and a founder member, said: "It went brilliantly, we had a really good turnout."
Runners from the Chiltern Harriers, Chesham scooped the trophies. Derek Brown, who has won the mens trophy five times, completed the route in 33.44 minutes.
Sally White took the ladies trophy as she finished the event, now in its ninth year, in 40.48 minutes.
Some runners, like Keith Patton dressed as Mickey Mouse running for The Sex Warriors Team, saw the light-hearted side of the event.
The money raised went to Prestwood Youth and Community Centre, the British Red Cross Centre, Misbourne Venture Scouts and the First Prestwood Guides.
