POLICE has launched an investigation after a bike was stolen off a train. 

British Transport Police launched a probe after a bike was stolen from a train at Chalfont and Latimer railway station on Sunday.

The police were alerted after the theft on Sunday (January 7) at about 7.10pm.

A spokesperson for the force confirmed the officers received “reports of a bike being stolen from a train at Chalfont and Latimer railway station.”

“Enquiries into this incident are ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016, or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 521 of 07/01/2024.”

According to social media reports, the black mountain bike style bicycle with blue hand grips and a white chain was reportedly stolen by a group of three older boys or young men.
