TRAIN passengers have been warned of disruption lasting for days after a landslip.

Chiltern Railways warned travellers of disruption and cancellations after a landslip between Haddenham & Thame Parkway and Bicester North.

The line towards the Midlands has been blocked. Network Rail engineers are on the site assessing the damage and repairs needed.

Disruption is not expected to clear until Monday, January 15 “at the earliest,” Chiltern Railways warned.

Passengers are still able to travel between all Buckinghamshire stations and London Marylebone, but service could be delayed due to the disruption further up the line, Chiltern Railway confirmed.

The worst affected travel will be towards Birmingham Moor Street, which is why Chiltern Railways tickets are currently being accepted on Avanti West Coast, Great Western Railways, CrossCountry (between Reading and Birmingham New Street), West Midlands Railways (for local West Midlands services) plus London Underground via any reasonable route.

Passengers can use the X7 bus service between Aylesbury and Oxford and X9 and X90 buses between High Wycombe and Risborough.

Chiltern Railways journey planner has been updated and passengers are advised to check it before travelling.
