A burst water pipe has left a school with a number of water leaks forcing it to close.

The damaged pipe, near Princes Risborough Primary, means works will take place on Little Ham Lane to allow Thames Water to repair the water main.

The school closed on Tuesday, January 23 and today.

An email has been sent to parents explaining that the "pipes have been bursting since Thursday night and we have had a number of water leaks. "

"As soon as one pipe was repaired, another one burst. We apologise for the inconvenience but the school site will need to be closed to all pupils (including key worker children) and staff until at least Wednesday while this urgent work is organised

"There will be no running water on site while this work takes place and so for health and safety reasons, we have no choice but to close the school."
