Residents at Chalfont Lodge in Chalfont St Peters recently celebrated International Flower Day.
The worldwide event, which took place on January 19, was launched to set up the psychological boost that flowers can give to people.
Residents took part in flower-based activities throughout the day including a flower arranging competition, reminiscing about flowers they grew at home and a flower quiz which everyone enjoyed.
Their collective knowledge about flowers gained from years of gardening experience was very impressive.
Raj Boodhoo, General Manager at Chalfont Lodge said: “Our garden is a much-loved space, residents enjoy looking after the plants and flowers and watching them grow and change through the seasons.
We don’t have many flowers at the moment so our residents very much enjoy these flower-based activities.”
