COMMUNITIES around Aylesbury are pulling together to help find a beloved pet dog who disappeared from a park.

Percy, a male pug, went missing from The Coppice Park, Bierton, on January 28 and hasn't been seen since.

His owners Carrie and Daniel are worried sick for their dog.

Their friend Gemma Bond is helping rally the community together to find Percy by sharing posts on Facebook and organising posters.

She said: "The family are absolutely beside themselves and we are so keen to escalate his disappearance to help bring Percy home, I would really love your help.

"We have set up a Facebook page, we have also being leafleting within a five mile radius and postering too.

"We have asked that NO one searches for him at all but if any sighting to call the number on the poster attached."

The pair had a potential sighting of Percy at 6.45pm in Watermead and in Kestrel Way.

Gemma said: "We have had drones checking water ways and surrounding fields prior.
"People have raised concerns RE water ways so please check local public lakes if you wish to do this there is no harm in it.

"Watermead lake is very public so can be searched easily. But we urge you not to search in fields or areas not frequented often within area incase he could be bunkered down. Please rest assured we are covering this

We currently have food stations in areas with cameras and some lovely volunteers have been working hard at the postering which we all appreciate.

Gemma is asking residents to check their CCTV and doorbell footage from January 28 to help the family in their search.
