Police are asking for help to track down a man who followed and assaulted a woman in a Buckinghamshire town.

A woman was followed and approached by an unknown man on Totteridge Road in High Wycombe at around 5:15pm on Tuesday, February 6.

The man approached her from behind, put an arm around her and pulled her. She was not injured in the incident.

Thames Valley Police have released an appeal for information about the man involved in the assault, who is described as a light-skinned Asian man in his mid-twenties.

He is reportedly 5 ft 8 ins tall, has short dark hair, stubble, light brown eyes and a local accent.

During the incident, he was wearing a black pullover style hooded-jacket with the hood up and tapered style jogging bottoms.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Ruby Scott, based at High Wycombe police station, said: “I am appealing for witnesses to this assault to please come forward.

“Also, if you were driving in the area around the time of the incident and have a dash-cam, or if you live nearby and have a CCTV camera or a video doorbell, please check any recordings in case it has captured something that could assist with us and get in touch if you have.”
