A man was trying to get his dog to bounce with him on a trampoline in his Buckingham garden when he fell through it into a pool of cold water – and caught it all on film.

Charlie Bond, 26, was trying to get his dog to join him on a trampoline in his garden in Buckingham when he got a nasty surprise – plunging through the bouncy material into a pool of cold water below.

A video of the incident shows the 26-year-old running through the garden and leaping onto the 15-year-old trampoline before it gives way and he disappears from view.

His mum, Samantha Hunter, 55, said Charlie hadn’t been hurt by the fall but was severely drenched.

She added: “He was trying to get the puppy to bounce with him – but the trampoline is about 15 years old! In the winter it’s full of water, so there was about two feet of water under there. He went straight down on his belly!”

Samantha had been away from home at the time but said her son had sent a video of himself “drenched” and standing near the “ripped” play structure.

“I took a look at the CCTV camera and just laughed so much. We were away skiing when it happened, and no one could watch it without belly laughing!

“Thankfully, he was fine – the puppy looked a little concerned for a second, though. He just couldn’t believe it!”
