Durston Tools achieved the prestigious Kings Award for an impressive third time on March 12.

The Lord Lieutenant, Lady Howe, the Mayor of High Wycombe, Paul Turner and Patricia Birchley, The Chairman of Buckinghamshire, celebrated alongside Durston's.

Paula Croft of the Kings Award Office, Louise Marron of the Buckinghamshire Lieutenancy and others also attended.

Durston, in Park House Business Centre, Desborough Park Road, is known for manufacturing equipment vital to jewellers for wire shaping and flattening materials including gold and silver.

The company exports over 90 per cent of their products to over 50 countries. Exports have tripled recently and continue to rise.

Company Director, Matthew Durston said: "There are many companies manufacturing rolling mills around the world but we have proven that manufacturers in the UK can compete".

Sara Durston added: "We are proud to be one of the elite group of companies to win the King's Award.

"This now puts us amongst the most successful of the UK businesses".

Durston Tools began manufacturing rolling mills in 1961 in Chesham and relocated to High Wycombe in 2008.

Today, they operate a local warehouse and factory, with additional warehouses in Brugge, Belgium and Phoenix, Arizona.

Over the past five years, company turnover has seen an impressive leap from £2 million to over £6 million.
