A man required immediate emergency care after a crash on the M40 near Oxfordshire.

Emergency services were called to the crash involving one vehicle with a trailer near Stokenchurch at around 11am yesterday (March 20).

Firefighters provided immediate emergency care to a man, who was out of the car on arrival, before passing him into the care of South Central Ambulance Service.

Fire crews from Thame, High Wycombe and Slade along with a Thames Valley Police officer attended.

National Highways also attended as a three-lane road closure was put in place.

The Bucks Free Press has approached Thames Valley police for more information but were told the force does not answer enquiries on road traffic collisions.

The South Central Ambulance Service has also been contacted for comment.
