A road in High Wycombe remains shut by police after a man was stabbed.

Police swarmed Gomm Road to reports that a man had been stabbed at 3.50am on Thursday, March 21.

At the scene, a man in his 20s was found with stab injuries.

He was rushed to hospital where his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

At this time there have been no arrests but enquiries continue.

Hours after the incident, a section near the bridge was closed off with officers present as they carry out investigations.

Police have also located two vehicles at the crime scene; a black Mercedes C320 with the registration GJ57 YMS, and a silver Ford Focus with the registration EJ61 YKN.

Members of the public are being asked to provide CCTV or a doorbell camera footage to assist in their investigation.

Senior investigating officer Detective Inspector Phil Turner-Robson said: “We are in the early stages of our investigation into this incident and we have a scene on in the area while we conduct our enquiries.

“We are asking for the public’s assistance and would request that anyone who has CCTV or a doorbell camera to please check it for anything that may assist our investigation.

“Additionally we would ask anyone who saw this incident or may have information around the incident to please get in touch.

“Also if anyone has information regarding either of the vehicles then we would ask them also to come forward.

“We would ask anyone with information to please provide it through our online pages or by calling 101, quoting reference 43240130712.

“Or if you do not wish to speak to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 and they will take your report anonymously.

“Members of the public will see an increased presence while we conduct our enquiries and additional patrols will be put in place.

“If anyone has concerns or information please do approach one of our uniformed officers.”
