Acclaimed chef Dipna Anand has unveiled her latest venture, Dipna Anand Kitchen & Bar, at Unity Place, Milton Keynes, on March 22.

This new 150-cover restaurant includes its own microbrewery from Toast Brewing.

The Punjabi and South Indian cuisine specialist promises a menu of traditional favourites and unexpected items, all sourced from local seasonal produce.

True to Anand’s style, the eatery promises authentic Punjabi and South Indian cuisine, diversified with a variety of traditional favourites.

The menu offers staple favourites to innovative new dishes, with a focus on fresh, local and environmentally responsible ingredients.

The glass-fronted diner is designed to offer a bright, modern scene, featuring a grill for tandoori lamb chops, salmon, chicken and paneer tikka, not forgetting their lamb seekh kebab.

Alongside the signature curries, patrons will find traditional thalis and biryanis, plant-based dishes and a selection of British cuts of meat, intended to cater to diverse dietary preferences.

The kitchen promises a selection of side dishes ranging from tadka coconut greens, masala fries to mango and feta salad.

The dessert menu boasts traditional delights such as gajar halwa and gulab jamun, fried milk dough drenched in cardamom sugar syrup.

In addition to the expansive evening menu, weekend brunches from 11am to 4pm with offerings such as Desi English breakfast or Tandoori chicken tikka burger, are available on Saturdays and Sundays.

The bar will serve an unconventional assortment of Anand’s favourite cocktails such as the Sassy Lassi, and a selection of classic cocktails and non-alcoholic options like Peach Spice Tea and Dola Re Dola.

The eatery’s design merges warm parquet flooring with an abundance of greenery hanging from the industrial high-ceiling, green marble tiling around the bar, and glass-fronted facade that fills the interiors with natural light.

Dipna Anand said: "I am so looking forward to opening my new restaurant in Unity Place.

"It has a completely different feel to my previous sites, but we’ll be serving some of my oldest family recipes.

"We’ve developed some new dishes alongside our beloved classics, and have a mega grill that we'll be firing up to char all our tikkas and chops on which is very exciting."

Restaurant Associates' Account Director, Rhodri Adrian said: "Dipna is the perfect partner for us.

"We are proud to be working with her on the new space and look forward to supporting Dipna and her brilliant team in this new endeavour."
