Durston Rolling Mills manufactures equipment mainly for jewellers for wire shaping and flattening materials such as gold and silver.

More than 90 per cent of the products they manufacture are exported to more than 50 countries.

The company reports that exports have tripled in the last few years and are still increasing.

Director, Matthew Durston, said: "There are many companies manufacturing rolling mills around the world but we have proven that manufacturers in the UK can compete.”

Sara Durston added "We are proud to be one of the elite group of companies to win the King's Award.

"This now puts us amongst the most successful of the UK businesses."

The Kings Award is the highest official UK award for British businesses.

The company has been manufacturing rolling mills since 1961, and in 1995 they moved to Chesham before settling in Wycombe 13 years later in 2008.
