INQUESTS into the deaths of three Marlow residents are set to be heard in upcoming months.

A pre-inquest review will be heard at Beaconsfield Coroner’s Court on May 14 regarding the death of Marlow resident peter James Lampen Griffiths. Mr Griffiths died aged 43 on February 25, 2022, in Jamaica.

On May 29, at the same court, an inquest will be held into the death of Pamela Eileen Mabel Harper who died at her home in Marlow on November 30, 2023, aged 92.

On June 12, an inquest will be held into the death of Robin Cedric Whiffen who died aged 81 on December 27, 2023.

Crispin Giles Butler, senior coroner, will hear the inquests, according to Buckinghamshire Council's website.

An inquest is a judicial inquiry in common law jurisdictions, particularly one held to determine the cause of a person's death.

Conducted by a judge, jury, or government official, an inquest may or may not require an autopsy carried out by a coroner or medical examiner.
