About a month ago, we reported that Milton Keynes was named one of the best places to live in the UK.

The north Buckinghamshire city was ranked fifth out of 10 places in the country based on schools to transport, broadband speeds to culture, as well as access to green spaces and the health of the high street.

The survey was conducted by the Sunday Times.

But are they right? What does Milton Keynes have to offer that other areas of Bucks lack?

Well, its links to defeating the Germans during World War II are well-known, with the codebreaking taking place at Bletchley Park.

The building, which dates back to 1711, can still be visited by members of the public, with the site having over 13,000 reviews on Google, with an average rating of 4.7/5.

What else can you do in Milton Keynes?

Those visiting the area can see Wilen Lake, which is very popular amongst tourists, as well as going to the frequently visited National Museum of Computing.

Xscape is also a go-to place as this allows those visiting to try out either skiing or indoor skydiving.

This is not too far away from the city’s huge shopping centre, Centre: MK, which boasts over 100 different outlets – both national and local.

And even though this might not be directly in Milton Keynes, the nearby Woburn Safari Park is frequently visited by animal lovers and families, with some going into north Buckinghamshire after seeing all the wonderful wildlife.

Finally, we can’t ignore the Milton Keynes theatre which is constantly visited by theatre enthusiasts.
