A MOTORCYCLIST has been caught speeding 127mph before failing to stop for police officers.
The Thames Valley Police roads policing unit officers were out on patrol in Milton Keynes on Sunday, April 14, checking the roads for dangerous and antisocial driving.
Police stopped several cars and motorcycles on the A5 road for speeding 100mph, with the fastest being a Yamaha R1 recorded speeding at 127mph.
The motorcyclist then failed to stop for officers and crashed when trying to get off the road.
They were arrested for dangerous driving, failing to stop and excess speed.
A spokesman said: "Whilst the above rider waits in custody and will certainly face a long ban and possibly a prison sentence, other drivers stopped and reported for driving at over 100mph can expect to lose their licence at court and face a large fine.
"Just because the weather is nice, it does not excuse dangerous speeds."
