Comedian and TV presenter Jimmy Carr has released a new stand-up special on Netflix - and you might just recognise where it was filmed.

The 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown host filmed his new special, titled Jimmy Carr: Natural Born Killer, in front of a live studio audience at the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre last year.

If you were in the audience at last year's show, you can relive the whole thing now - with the taped show hitting Netflix today (Tuesday, April 16).

Natural Born Killer is the first comedy special Jimmy has directed himself, with its blurb detailing "lighting changes to reflect different sections of the show and fancy editing that rhythmically matches the material".

Speaking to Marlow local Chris Evans on the his Virgin Radio breakfast show this week, Carr said he tapped into his "dark sense of humour" for Natural Born Killer.

Adding: “If you’re thinking about it, and you think it’s funny, you have to be authentic and say it, and trust that the audience will get it’s a joke.”

In a trailer for the new Netflix special, he joked about being "cancelled" for his stand-up routines.

He came under fire following the release of previous special His Dark Material in 2021 after including a joke about the Holocaust that was called "deeply offensive" by the Holocaust Educational Trust.

Theatre Director, Grant Brisland said: "It was a huge privilege to welcome the Netflix crew to film Jimmy Carr’s Natural Born Killer Netflix Special last autumn.

"The iconic Waterside Theatre auditorium shines bright in what will be streamed to millions of viewers across the globe.

"It is a proud moment for the team who worked tirelessly to make it a huge success. Jimmy will be back in October for what is looking likely to be another sell-out success; it’s not too late to grab your tickets."

Jimmy returns to Aylesbury Waterside Theatre for two performances on Friday, October 4.
