A 33-year-old man has been sentenced after breaking into a property in Woodley and stealing multiple items of jewellery.
The incident occurred on December 9, 2023 when the offender entered through the first floor bathroom window of the home occupied by a man in his sixties.
Christopher Morales, 33, of no fixed abode appeared in Reading Crown Court on Friday, April 12 where he was sentenced to two years and two months for the burglary.
This comes after he pleaded guilty at Reading Magistrates Court on January 24.
Staff Investigator Elle Read, said: “I am satisfied that Morales has been sentenced to a custodial sentence.
“Burglary is a horrendous crime that has devastating and long-lasting effects on victims and Thames Valley Police are absolutely committed to ensuring offenders are brought to justice.”
Police have reported that the victim, a man in his sixties, was not injured
