Two women were taken to hospital after three cars crashed into each other on the A413 in Amersham.
The Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to the major roadway at 3:15pm on Tuesday, April 16 following reports of a crash.
One appliance and crew from Amersham used an emergency repair kit to attend to two women at the scene, before passing them into the care of the South Central Ambulance Service.
Firefighters also put a full road closure in place for safety purposes.
A spokesperson for the service described the incident as a “collision involving three cars”.
The A413, which mainly runs through Buckinghamshire with its north end in Northamptonshire, is known to have a high accident rate, with adverse weather conditions on Tuesday potentially contributing towards the above incident.
Police advice on driving during bad weather includes delaying journeys when possible, being alert to vulnerable road users and driving slowly at a distance from other motorists.
