A Flackwell Heath boy saw his dreams come true when he appeared on Britain's Got Talent (BGT) last night.

Last year, Kathryn Edwards surprised her son Kaiden with a trip to watch BGT during which he expressed a desire to perform on the show himself.

On Sunday night, Kaiden's dream came true as he performed on stage in front of judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and Bruno Tonioli.

The nine-year-old is part of Ravi Adelekan's Dream Team, intended to raise awareness for children living with brain tumours.

Kaiden was diagnosed with a brain tumour in June 2022 after experiencing head pain, nausea, sickness and double vision.

A routine MRI scan in March picked up a spot on Kaiden’s spine which was diagnosed as a relapse of medulloblastoma, a tumour in his spinal cord.

Like Kaiden, Ravi is battling with a brain tumour which he is currently suffering from the side effects day to day.

When Ravi was six, he was diagnosed with a benign tumour in his brain stem.

The impact of major surgery through which he went affected him every day.

However, the brave young man learned to walk and feed himself again.

Ravi said: "I love songs and music, and I think this song is a special song because it’s about your dreams coming true, just like I dream that having a brain tumour doesn’t mean you can do anything less than other people."

Ravi and Kaiden achieved their dream of appearing on Britain’s Got Talent on April 21 at 7.40pm on ITV1.

Their performance was met with an impressive response, inviting more viewers to catch up with their act on ITVX.

In addition to the BGT appearance, Ravi has also been involved in the creation of a charity music video of 'A Million Dreams' from the film 'The Greatest Showman'.

The poignant video features a host of internationally acclaimed musicians, including Bastille, Damon Albarn, Paloma Faith, The Big Moon, and Metronomy.

The funds raised from the video go towards two essential brain tumour charities, The Brain Tumour Charity and brainstrust.

The video forms part of Ravi’s Dream campaign, which has seen the young boy host events at esteemed locations such as Soho House and The House of Commons, as well as a star-studded Charity Football Match.

Ravi has received recognition for his amazing fundraising efforts, with the More Radio Child of Sussex Awards honouring him with a gold win in June 2023.

Perhaps even more impressively, Ravi was named as the Pride of Britain Child of Courage by the Daily Mirror due to his bravery, determination, and positivity.

Both Ravi and Kaiden are inspiring examples of the potential of children with brain tumours.

Through their actions, they urge people to support children living with brain tumours, inviting donations via www.ravisdream.com.
