POLICE are carrying out extra patrols in Marlow in a bid to stop antisocial behaviour in the town.
The neighbourhood police team in Marlow has been visiting the Lower Pound Lane and Liston Court areas of Marlow after recent incidents.
Officer said they are working with their partners at Sorbon Estates, 4-Front Security and Marlow Town Council and are "are pleased to report a reduction in reported issues recently."
Earlier this month, a footprint was discovered on a shop window and another suffered a break-in.
The manager of Elite HNW, a watch shop in Liston Court, was out with his friends on the evening of April 8 when he was notified that the burglar alarm was going off.
James Payne explained how the store doesn’t have any front-facing cameras so he couldn’t check what had happened until the following morning when all that remained of anything having taken place was a footprint in the shopfront glass.
Nearby Liston Court business Your Story Bridal Boutique had its window smashed on April 1 – something James believes could be connected to the footprint incident.
The antisocial behaviour was pinned down to "young people" gathering on the benches in Liston Court Gardens.
Residents suggested by removing them, it would stop youngsters “making a lot of noise” in the early hours of the morning.
