New road closures in Buckinghamshire could cause delays for drivers next week.

Work is underway on reactive road repairs across Buckinghamshire, with a pothole being fixed every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day.

During the forthcoming spring season, more than 200 distinct capital improvement schemes will be executed.

Planned resurfacing works will be carried out at Shipton Lee, Quainton from Tuesday, May 7 to Saturday, May 11. The road will be closed for the works between 7pm and 7am each day.

Main Street in Padbury will also be closed between 9am and 5pm from Tuesday, May 7 to Friday, May 10 for substantial plane and patch resurfacing works.

Further ahead, surface dressing preparations will take place in several locations, including Ibstone Road in Stokenchurch, Glade Road in Great Hampden, and Hatch Lane in High Wycombe.

The roads will be closed between 8pm and 6am for these works.

Street lighting upgrades are also underway, with LED lanterns, illuminated signs and bollards being upgraded at various locations throughout the county.

Additionally, damaged columns are being replaced, and improvements made to existing flashing units and advanced warnings signs at schools.

The A412 Denham Road, in Iver Heath, is also set to undergo culvert investigation works from Wednesday, May 1, to Friday, May 10, which will require temporary traffic lights from Monday to Friday, between 9am and 4pm.

From Tuesday, May 7 to Friday, June 14, there will also be footbridge replacement works along Mill Lane in Taplow.

This will necessitate a 24/7 road closure and some localised parking restrictions.

Finally, safety barrier repair works will be done on the A40 White Hill, Wooburn Moor starting from Thursday, May 9 to Friday, May 10.

This will require the use of two-way temporary traffic signals operating between 9:30am and 3:30pm.

London Road in Aston Clinton is also set to undergo traffic calming works between Tuesday, April 2 and Tuesday, August 20.

Various combinations of two-way and three-way temporary traffic lights will be used for this purpose, working between 8am and 5pm.
