A man has been fined hundreds of pounds for using his phone while driving.
Martin Rooney, 21, of Pinstone Way, Gerrards Cross, appeared before High Wycombe Magistrates' Court on April 16.
He offered no plea to a charge of using a mobile while driving.
This was in relation an incident on July 19, 2023, when the defendant was caught on the M40 at High Wycombe using a phone while behind the wheel.
Magistrates fined him £220, and endorsed his licence with six points.
A driver who receives 12 points over a three-year period is liable to have their licence revoked.
In addition, Rooney will have to pay £90 in court costs and an £88 victim surcharge.
