WEEKLY round up of hearings at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court:

April/May 2024:

NICKY HICKFORD, 37, of Bedgrove, Aylesbury, convicted of two counts of drug-driving in Rignall Road, Great Missenden, on November 3, 2023. Found to have cocaine in their system. Fined £480. Also ordered to pay £85 court costs and £384 victim surcharge. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.

TONY CAIRNIE, 36, of Oxford Road, Aylesbury, convicted of driving while disqualified in Walton Road, Aylesbury, on May 28, 2023. Also convicted of using a vehicle without the correct insurance in place on the same occasion, and convicted of using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause alarm or distress in Aylesbury on the same date. Convicted of drug-driving in Walton Road, Aylesbury, on May 28, 2023. Found to have cocaine in their system. Sentenced t 18 weeks in prison suspended for 12 months due to ‘realistic prospect of rehabilitation following good progress on existing order’. Fined £60 and ordered to pay £250 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 36 months.

KERRY-ANNE WOOD, 30, of Deansfield Close, Slough, convicted of assault by beating in Marlow on September 10, 2023. Also convicted of criminal damage to property namely damage to a toy worth £40. Given a community order to comply with 100 hours of unpaid work. Ordered to pay £85 court costs and £114 victim surcharge.

ADRIAN MAJEWSKI, 32, of Wittaker Road, Slough, convicted of two counts of drug-driving in Cullum Green Road, Farnham Common, on September 30, 2023. Found to have cannabis and Amphetamine in their system. Given a community order to comply with 100 hours of unpaid work. Disqualified from driving for 17 months. Also ordered to pay £85 court costs and £114 victim surcharge.

TARIQ DIN, 45, of Kitchener Road, High Wycombe, convicted of two counts of drug-driving on the A40 West Wycombe Road on October 30, 2023. Found to have cocaine in their system. Fined £192. Also ordered to pay £85 court costs and £77 victim surcharge. Disqualified from driving for 26 months.

SABRINA BRADSHAW, 31, of St Stephens Road, West Drayton, convicted of failing to provide a specimen for analysis when asked as a vehicle driver by police in Maidenhead on November 14, 2023. Also convicted of common assault of an emergency worker, namely a police officer, in Denham on the same date. Given a community order to comply with rehabilitation activity including 150 hours of unpaid work. Also ordered to pay £75 compensation. Must pay £85 court costs and £114 victim surcharge. Disqualified from driving for 17 months.

REBECCA SMITH, 46, of Caernarvon Crescent, Milton Keynes, convicted of using a vehicle without the correct insurance in Watling Street on August 20, 2023. Fined £100. Also ordered to pay £90 court costs and £40 victim surcharge. Six points added to driving licence.

LAURA MANEA, 26, of Ruskin Way, Aylesbury, convicted of using a handheld device while driving a vehicle in Oxford Road, Aylesbury, on August 22, 2023. Fined £138. Also ordered to pay £55 victim surcharge and £90 court costs. Six points added to driving licence.

MOHAMMED KHAN, 23, of Palmer Avenue, Aylesbury, convicted of using a handheld mobile device while driving a vehicle in London Road, Oxford, on June 26, 2023. Fined £123. Also ordered to pay £90 court costs and £49 victim surcharge. Six points added to driving licence.

JONATHAN DIVER, 60, of Billet Lane, Iver, convicted of speeding on the M40 near Milton Common on August 31, 2023. Found to be driving at 86MPH in a 70MPH zone on the M40. Fined £923 and ordered to pay £90 court costs and £369 victim surcharge. Disqualified from driving for six months.

It is established in the UK that court cases should be heard in public.
