A 34-year-old man who escaped from a prison in Aylesbury a week ago has been arrested, police have confirmed.
Thames Valley Police issued an appeal to find Naqash Hussain, 34, on Sunday, May 5, after he escaped from HMP Springhill in the early hours of the morning.
The force has now withdrawn its appeal after arresting a 34-year-old man “on suspicion of being lawfully at large” on Monday, May 13.
Fellow inmate Sean Downes went missing from the prison on the same day and was found on Wednesday, May 8.
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police thanked the media and public for their assistance in the investigation.
