Carousel Buses has announced plans to operate additional services in High Wycombe, following the proposed closure of Aylesbury and High Wycombe depots of fellow bus operator Arriva.
Managing director, Mr Marion, addressed concerns of disrupted services in the area stating that Carousel is prepared to maintain accessibility to public transportation.
Mr Marion further detailed that should Arriva confirm its depot closure, Carousel is set to inherit and operate numerous current Arriva routes from the closure date to ensure minimal disruption to services.

Furthermore, Carousel is set to take over operation of service 4 from May 19, 2024.
Additional support will also be provided by Carousel's sister company, Oxford Bus Company, which will inaugurate service 280, replacing current Arriva X7 service between Oxford and Thame from July 1, 2024.
With these developments in place, Mr Marion asserts that the level of bus services in Wycombe and its surrounding areas would remain almost identical to the existing status quo, aside from an evident visual alteration of bus colour.
The commitment of Carousel to salvage disrupted bus services has precedence.
In 2022, Morebus, another subsidiary of Carousel's parent company, Go-Ahead, stepped in to maintain services in Bournemouth and Poole after Bournemouth Transport Ltd collapsed.
Similarly, Go-Ahead's Bluestar replaced First Bus network services in Southampton in February 2023.
Consequently, Go-Ahead, Carousel, and its affiliates stand strongly equipped to tackle potential changes in High Wycome public transportation.
