A third arrest has been made following the launch of an attempted murder investigation in High Wycombe.
Police were called to the Tilling Crescent area of the town in Micklefield following reports of a stabbing in the evening of Friday, May 17.
A man, who is in his 20s, was taken to hospital in a critical condition, where he currently remains.
Following the incident, two men aged 29 and 32 from High Wycombe, were arrested on May 18.
They were remanded in custody but have since been released on bail.
But another apprehension has since made man, a 40-year-old man, who is also from High Wycombe, has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder today (May 20), and currently remains in police custody.
A police cordon has been in place since the early hours of Saturday, May 18, and it is not known when the restrictions will be lifted.
