The police have provided un update after armed officers were spotted in the centre of High Wycombe last week.
At around Friday, May 17, the authorities were spotted by O’Neill’s, a frequently visited pub and nightclub in the town.
A statement from Thames Valley Police said: “Following our investigation, a man has been charged in connection with an assault in High Wycombe.
“Jordan Pearce, 25, of HMP Bullingdon, was charged with one count each of assault by beating and possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place on Saturday, May 18.
“The charges relate to an assault and possession of a knife in a public place in McDonald’s in Dovecot Road at around 6.30pm on Friday, May 17.
“No one was injured.
“Pearce was remanded in custody and appeared at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on Monday, May 20.”
It was also confirmed that the armed officers were sent to the scene following the report of an assault and possession of a knife in a public place where they arrested Pearce.
