A woman has been sentenced after five children were assaulted in her care in Marlow.
Police sentenced Amelia Simkiss, aged 24, of Totteridge Road, High Wycombe, to a one year community order at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court today (May 22).
Simkiss pleaded guilty to one count of wilful assault at the same court on April 18.
Police said between October 6 and November 8 last year, Simkiss assaulted five children whilst they were in her care in Marlow.
She was then charged on March 23.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Kirsty Pendle, of the Child Abuse Investigation Unit, said: “Amelia Simkiss was rightfully charged following after a number of incidents in October and November last year.
“I am relieved Simkiss pleaded guilty to the offences charged of her, preventing the families of the victims having to endure reliving the incidents in front of a court. Simkiss will now have time to reflect on her actions.
“We will never accept violence against children in Thames Valley Police and will always seek to bring offenders to justice.”
