An incredible £4,000 has been donated to two cancer charities thanks to several people from Buckinghamshire.

Organised by the Bucks Buxom Belles led by Rachael Paskin, Juliet Hamilton, and Andy Aliffe, – all fans of the film Calendar Girls, their 12-month advent has been a roaring success.

Inspired by the 2003 comedy movie starring Helen Mirren and Julie Walters, they produced their own calendar with all the proceeds going to charity.

Their initial target was to raise £1,500.

Rachael Paskin said: “Our calendar was a massive success and was very enthusiastically received by everyone, and the Bucks Buxom Belles will not be silenced either.

“We have currently negotiated our regular radio show on Wycombe Sound where we will be heralding all the good things happening in our home county.

“This will be interspersed with women's chat, health issues and general entertainment for all.

“Thank you to everyone who has supported the Belles on this very exciting journey.

“We will continue on our fundraising adventures and it would be a real treat to have the local media behind us in this. “
