A teenage girl was threatened with a screwdriver by burglars after they broke into her home in Denham.

Two men, one of whom was wearing a face mask, broke into the property on Red Hill between 9pm and 10pm on Thursday, May 25.

One man threatened the girl, who is in her late teens, with a screwdriver while the other stole banknotes from a makeup box.

The girl did not sustain any injuries from the incident.

One of the men was described as a white 25-year-old man of slim build and between 5 ft 10 and 11ins tall.

He reportedly had small eyes, was wearing a baseball cap and black gloves, and was carrying a screwdriver.

The other man was described as Asian, between 5 ft 6 and 7ins tall, and wearing a black face mask.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Adrian Speakman, said: “This was a concerning incident where a woman has been threatened in her own home.

“We are asking anyone with witness information or anyone who may have dash-cam or CCTV footage that could assist our enquiry to please come forward. Anyone with footage can upload directly to this dedicated portal.
