Police have arrested two men for conspiring to manufacture firearms in Marlow.
The arrests followed house searches of two addresses on Trinity Avenue and James Close last Wednesday, June 5.
A 19-year-old and a 23-year-old man were taken into custody on suspicion of conspiring to manufacture firearms.
They have both been released on bail.
Firearms offences are treated very seriously in UK courts, and prosecution for ‘conspiring to manufacture’ the weapons can be solely based on proof of an agreement between the involved parties.
Owners of firearms or shotguns are required by law to hold a firearms certificate issued by the police, with some particularly dangerous weapons prohibited from circulation entirely.
