A man has been given a suspended jail sentence after threatening another man with a pair of scissors.

Klaudiusz Winiarlzyk, 34, of Station Close, High Wycombe, threatened his victim with a pair of scissors on March 23, 2023.

On the same day, he damaged a door belonging to another man.

The defendant appeared before High Wycombe Magistrates' Court on March 1 this year, where he pleaded guilty to charges of criminal damage and threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a private place.

He also admitted failing to surrender to police bail on February 27 this year.

For his offending, Winiarlzyk was jailed for six months, suspended for 12 months.

He has been ordered to undertake 12 months of mental health treatment, and to carry out up to 15 days of rehabilitation activities.

In addition, he must complete 135 hours of unpaid work within the next year.

Winiarlzyk must pay £200 in court costs and a £154 victim surcharge.
