A man who drove drunk at High Wycombe without insurance has been banned from the road for over two years.
James Franklin, 51, of West Wycombe Road, High Wycombe, appeared before Reading Magistrates' Court on April 9.
He was stopped by police in West Wycombe Road two months prior, on February 22.
Franklin was subject to a roadside breath test, and it was found that the proportion of alcohol in his breath - namely 109µg in 100 millilitres - was three times over the legal limit.
It subsequently emerged that he was not insured to drive the Ford Fiesta he had been travelling in.
Franklin was banned from driving for two years and three months, to be reduced by 27 weeks upon completion of an accredited course.
He must also seek three months of alcohol treatment and 12 months of mental health treatment.
No fine was levied - although Franklin must pay £85 in court costs and a £114 victim surcharge.
